AERIAL DRESS CODE

  • We recommend wearing a leotard underneath capri length pants and a form-fitting shirt. When students go upside down, we do not want their shirt covering their face. The leotard helps to protect their skin as aerial frequently can be pinchy and the more layers the more comfortable they are.

  • Male students can wear long athletic shorts, sweatpants, or athletic pants. We recommend biker shorts or under armor underneath any shorts, as the majority of our work is upside down.

  • Make sure all clothes are free of any metal attachments (zippers, buckles, clasps etc.)

  • No shorts or jeans are permitted.

  • No jewelry, watches, or fitness watches are permitted.

  • No lotion is permitted on student's hands & body (this makes the silks slippery & unsafe)

  • Hair must be up in a ponytail or other hairstyle to be out of the student's face

  • Bring a Water Bottle (with student's name on it)

  • Bring extra layers of clothes for aerial protection like a long sleeve shirt, jacket, and socks in a dance bag in case they need it. (Some parts of aerial technique are more comfortable and enjoyable for students when they have extra protection on their skin)

  • Trampoline & Aerial Wall students will need closed-toed/athletic shoes with traction on the soles of the shoes.
